DAM SAFETY AND WATER RESOURCES

Over time, Dr.techn. Olav Olsen has intensified its effort within the field of Dams and Waterways as this enables us to exploit our specialist competence within structural engineering and marine structures.

Dr.techn. Olav Olsen holds the necessary approvals from NVE (The Norwegian Water Resources and Energy Directorate) for design and reassessment of concrete and rock-fill dams. The company also holds approvals for preparation of flood analysis and dam break wave calculations. In addition strategic co-operation with other parties within the field enable us to strengthen and complement our expertise.
The basis of any successful project comes from good data. Consequently, we have acquired equipment that allows us to scan terrain and structures from drones. We can also post-process these data to create accurate 3D-models. 360 degree panoramas has proven to be an efficient way to document installations.
